Houndstooth Scarf

I found a cute pattern for Houndstooth scarf and being from 'Bama could not resist!

It was easy to make and took about 4 or 5 evenings.  If make again, will use a more softer yarn.

Here is a link to the pattern:  http://elkstudiohandcraftedcrochetdesigns.com/2013/01/23/excited-about-crochet-patterns/

Small yellow and fuchsia Crocheted Bag

I made this yellow bag, same directions as the blue bag, just used a smaller crochet hook.  Of course the stitches are more tight and it has a more compact feel..

 It turned out so beautiful!

Right now, I use the blue one at work to carry my laptop charger. The yellow one is OK and my charger fits, but barely.  The girls at work all comment on how pretty they are.   In the spring, I will use the yellow one as a purse.

This is not my pattern, it is one I found at "The C side' site /chocolatemintsin in a jar.  It says I can not sell or distribute the pattern.

My First Afghan

I started this afghan before I got married. Over the years it was packed up in a box. I got it out and decided that even if I did one row a day, it would get done!! Needless to say, I did more than one row a day, once I got restarted. Just the interinum was uh... ~ 20 years. It is a very simple pattern and easy to do. After I finished this one, I made two more that Winter.

Here is an original crochet had I made two years ago.  I like the  pinks and fushia colors.   That is snow on top of it ...  I made up the pattern as I went, so don't have it written out.  It did not take too long to make.  I enjoy crocheting, just don't have a lot of time to keep it up.  I like small items better, but have made several afgans and/or bedspreads that I have made.  I work with yarn more in the winter, probably because I stay indoor more then.  I used to make a Christmas ornament every year, whether it was something crocheted or otherwise crafted.  One year I made about 50 cotten thread snowflakes and starched them and gave them to EVERYONE at my family reunion for a Christmas gift. Now I wonder how I ever had the time to make them and then starch then and pin them out and let then dry!  Ah to still have that energy!!  Go Crochet!

Tulip Wreath
